Tees Trail Race, Lordstones, 26th June 2017

The third race of the Muddy Roads Tees Trail Series took place on a balmy evening at Lordstones on the 26th June.  A challenging run with a steep hill to break runners’ momentum and test legs and spirit.

Jack Hutton’s speed work for the track translated well to the 5k race, securing him 5th place of 159 runners in 19:55.  Keith Hutchinson prefer the short sprint distances but still had a great run over the 5,000m trail to finish in 20:48 for 12th place.

Neil Simon had a cracking run after a heavy season training, finishing in 23:17.  Luke Allan was next in 24:14.  Scott Llewellyn races for both Burn Road Harriers and Hartlepool Triathletes and had a great run, crossing the line in 24:23, with Carl Marchant next in 24:30.

First female for the Burn Road club was Jo Beddow in 26:36.  A good time given she had done a training run that morning too.  Peter Johnson was next in 27:09, followed by Claire Earle in 27:40 and Lauren Earle in 31:17.
