November Training Nights Schedule

 

 Safety -Please note all HBRH runners should wear hi viz top or bib

Thursday 1st

All Groups --- Cresswell Drive loop and Manor Road hill.

4 loops / 4 hills x 3

Session 2: - Alternative 10k run session, route to be explained on the evening. 

Session 3: - Social Run around the Old Monks Route led by Nichola Swinbourne. Head torches are a must.

Tuesday 6th

Head torch run through the golf course. Distances of 5, 6 or 7 miles to be run.

Thursday 8th

Meet on Summerhill Lane as there is a parents evening at English Martyrs School.

1,200m Reps around the Elwick Road / Queensberry Road / Park Road loop. 5 Reps to be completed by group 1 and 4 reps by group 1b, with walk / jog recovery between reps.

Session 2: - Alternative  run session, route to be explained on the evening.

Tuesday 13th

Hill rep session on Rovers Bank. Warm up from the promenade then 20 minutes of efforts with a jog down recovery. Head torches recommended.

Session 2: - Alternative 10k run session, route to be explained on the evening.

Thursday 15th

200m Reps on Summerhill Lane, 3 sets of 3 x 200 with 45 seconds recovery and 2 minutes between sets.

Session 2: - Alternative 10k run session, route to be explained on the evening.

 Tuesday 20th

5 x 800M reps at 5k pace. #1 700m with a 100m sprint finish. #2 600m with a 200m sprint finish #3 500m with a 300m sprint finish. #4 400m with a 400m sprint finish. #5 300m with a 500m sprint finish.

Session 2: - Alternative 10k run session, route to be explained on the evening.

 Thursday 22nd

800m Reps around the Elwick Road / Queensberry Road / Park Road loop. 8 Reps to be completed by group 1 group 1b to run for the same amount of time, with 400m jog recovery between reps.. 

Session 2: - Alternative 10k run session, route to be explained on the evening.

 Tuesday 27th

500m Reps in pairs on the promenade. Running away from each other in loops to return to the starting point. 10 Reps for group 1 and group 1b to run for the same amount of time. 1 Minute recovery.

Session 2: - Alternative 10k run session, route to be explained on the evening.

 Thursday 29th

AWAY DAY MEET AT ROVERS RUGBY CLUB. The session will take place on Oakesway Trading Estate.

Then back to Rovers Club House after for a social gathering.

Hi viz is a must. Let's be seen and stay safe.

All Groups must warm up properly.


Sessions start at 6pm with a warm up.

Tuesday session will be at Seaton Promenade, meeting at the Coronation Drive toilet block car park and Thursday session will be from English Martyrs School.

Each session will be split into two manageable groups with coaches and leaders taking their respective groups.

If necessary members racing the same midweek or weekend should seek advice from relevant coach/leader on the night regarding training and number of reps, workload etc.

These sessions are not set in tablets of stone, though it is suggested that all participate in them to some degree, even if the number or the length is reduced. Please attempt to assist each other by participating alongside other members with compatible ability or in similar groups of three’s and four’s.
